february 2005: Still online...
I
was about the take down this site to gain
some webspace when i discovered i could upgrade
to 1gb for free, and i was quite surprised
to discover that i still had 600 visitors
a month browsing through my tutorials... So
i'm definitly keeping the site up, and here
is a couple of exclusive screenshots of the
grass i'm developing (texture is from my old
friend RedDevil). It's thick and lag free
:-) You will be able to run it even on slow
computers... I will post soon a small video
to give you a better idea of how it looks
like ingame.
9th January 2003: Recycled panther : JagdPanther in the ma First: Happy new year ! Second: That's right, i'm making a JagdPanther based on the panther's chassis. You can find some screenshots of the work in progress on the panther page . 29th
december : Still No beta... but an alpha release !
Mmmmh...
i've been so busy lately that i haven't been able to finish
the panther pack in time. As i felt guilty for all my unrespected
promises, i'm now releasing an alpha version of my panther
pack ! It's called alpha because it's missing a new interior
and a lot of features... But it's not buggy ! You can download
it here
on my site or on this mirror
provided by ww2ec.
Be sure to read the readme
before asking questions... and enjoy !
8th september : No beta... but a nice tutorial ! Well
i still have problems with the tracks and some other stuff on
the Panther pack, so i cant realease any beta before going on
holidays :-(
But here are some nice screenshots of what is probably going to be my final textures... and also a new camo... and also the late G version with road wheels. I hope you'll like it. As usual, check the panther page here. As i felt a bit guilty not releasing anything, I decided to provide you some stuff to read... The texturing tutorial is here ! I spent the whole day on it and it's as much explained as i could with my english, so there is something like 65 screenshots in it. You dont have to be an ace at Paint shop pro to start with it... Everything is explained inside ! I also made a zip version. 26th august : It's going well ! and even if i'm reaaaally busy ;-) I
know marfy is doing a really kick-ass and ultra realistic panther
pack, but I decided to carry one this one because it's not so
far from release, and also, since the begining, it wasnt supposed
to be a very accurate pack...
I dont have access to internet when i'd like to, but i took some times to give you some proper screenshots of the work in progress. So the main textures are not far from being finished, it just miss a bunch of details on the sides and back. The new textures features new wheels and tracks. I also experimented a white winter camo (thanks to Orson's tips) and a brown & yellow camo which was used on the eastern front (i believe). the "ambush" camo is also on the way (but not on the screenshots). So you can see 8 new screenshots are available on the Panther pack page here. Also, the TankEffects script beta 3 is in progress and will be released with the panther pack (well i'll try to do so...) 6th august : new tutorials, new screenshots ! As
I promised before, here are two new tutorials : one for the SetObjectTexture
thingy, the other one for the brown textures when a tank is damaged
(also dealing with local damage for tanks). It means the next tutorial
i'll do will be for texturing metal parts under Paint Shop Pro 8,
and i think it's gonna be a big tutorial !
Also i did some work on the back the panther yesterday, so, as usual, 4 new screenshots are available on the Panther pack page here (but keep in mind it's not finished yet, as the sides of the "disk" are not textured). I aslo experimented a tricolor camo on the turret, so i'd like to have your opinions on the forums (I always post my news on ww2ec/i44/AiA's forums...). 4th
august : work in progress...
I
made 2 more screenshots of the work in progress, so you can see
it here. I've pratically finished
the modeling work on the hull and you can see the new mud guards
on the screens. Also i added these things on the chassis which were
used to tow the panther i guess (sort of rings or whatever you call
it in english). I remodeled the A/G commander copula a bit as i
made a mistake on the first one. I added more details on the turret
etc... I also gave a try to the ambush theme just to see if the
color was nice. This is just a try, not the final one. Work is going
well and the exterior will be finished soon (hopefully).
30th july : reworking the hull... Just
to let you know the work goes on quite well, i made 6 new screenshots,
so you can see it on the on the Panther Pack page here.
Basically, i'm reworking the hull (remodeling and retexturing) so
the different model (A,D or G) can be obtained by hidden selections
(not finished yet). I also removed the black stripes as some of you
made me realize i made a mistake on that one ;-). Most textures are
temporary here, as I'm adding more and more details (see the new details
on the turret). I havent started to make the tutorials yet, but be
sure i'll do it soon !
25th july : turret almost finished... and also : i dont have internet at home anymore... I
managed to find the time to retexture the turret and remodel the commander's
copula (Ausf A/G and D version).I'm quite happy with the current turret,
so i'll just have to add some more details on it (holes, plates etc...)
and it will be finished ! I'm currently remodeling the hull a bit.
Also, i added a script to change the numbers on the sides of the turret, and to add the stripes on the barrel. So you can specify the number of stripes and the vehicle number as you want in the init field, by calling a simple script included in the .pbo (same way to call it as the TankEffects script). See the screenshots on the Panther Pack page here. Also i'm sorry to say i dont have internet at home anymore due to the stupidness of one of my housemates. so i'll not be online on MSN anymore until a month or two, but i'm still checking my messages and update my site as often as i can at my university. Next time i'll try to add two more tutorials : one for the SetObjectTexture thing (i use it for the tank numbers and the stripes). the other one to help modeling tanks, as i noticed a bunch of modelers dont manage to have the brown texture thing when the tank is damaged (or even the local dammage on the tank). Also as my textures are getting better, i'll also try to do a tutorial for texturing metal parts on vehicles (Under Paint shop pro 8). I'll try to give all the settings for the tools, so it will be easy for everyone. 16th july : retextured tracks... and also : I have my degreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!! Yesterday
i spent some hours retexturing these god damned tracks. I still have
some problems with the animations, but you can see how it looks like
at the moment, as i added two more screenshots. check the Panther Pack
page here
14th july (again): new screenshots I
added two more screenshots of the work in progress on the panther pack.
you can see the bushes for camouflage and also the retexturing of the
turret. check the Panther Pack page here
14th july : Panther pack...nothing to do with the french independance day ;-) I
made a new addon section dedicated to my new project : the panther pack.
I needed a break from the Sturmtiger (the vehicle), so I asked Sturmtiger
(the addon maker) if I could use his Panther to produce a pack. Two
screenshots available
4th july : the site is opened ! ...nothing to do with the USA' independance day ;-) I
finally make my own website. So you will se my current work in progress
(that's not a lot, but I'm just begining hey !), and also some tutorials
I made. If you see anything wrong in my tutorials contact me here :
fabrice823@hotmail.com,
I'll correct it as soon as possible. Thanks for visiting ! |
